Project activities
The GreenLead project activities include analyzing the current state of European SMEs’ green transition, defining the Green Leader professional profile, division responsibilities, and training curriculum (GreenLead & GreenWorksComp), creating an innovative training course and materials, developing a certification model to assess and certify Green Leader competencies, building the GreenLead e-learning platform, conducting piloting activities to test and refine the training approach, and producing the GreenLead Toolkit to support sustainable practices in SMEs.
Impact
The GreenLead project will achieve key milestones by equipping VET trainers and organizations with innovative training resources and tools to support the modernization and green transition of European SMEs through the introduction of the Green Leader profile. Additionally, SME owners and managers will benefit from an upskilling pathway designed to provide them with the essential skills and competencies needed to guide their organizations toward a sustainable green transition, fulfilling the role of Green Leader.
Motivation
The GreenLead project aims to support SMEs, which make up 99% of EU businesses, in transitioning to greener practices by developing the Green Leader professional profile. This profile will equip SME owners, managers, and key staff with the skills and competencies needed to lead their organizations in adopting sustainable practices and driving the green economy transition in line with the European Green Deal.
